One Iron Horse Farm offers quality horses for sale and, under certain conditions, can offer short-term leasing. We specialize in Dutch Warmblood / Thoroughbred crosses and Hanoverians, breeding performance horses that are well-suited for dressage, eventing, and hunter/jumper. Our Dutch Warmblood sire, Aliant, is by Telstar, Nimmerdor's first approved son. Nimmerdor was 2000 Horse of the Century and still considered to be one of the great equine athletes. Our Thorougbred dams boast Secretariat or Nijinsky II heritage. Our Hanoverian dam is one of Kalypso's last mares before his death. The result is size, grace, athleticism, and willing attitudes.
Occasionally we have other horses for sale in a variety of disciplines, and we have access to other horses on a regional or national basis so that we can offer our services to match you with your next equine partner. We care most about the long-term horse/human partnership. Whenever possible, we incorporate a first right-of-refusal buyback option into our sales contracts, and will help you re-sell any horse bought from us if you find yourself on the selling end in the future.
At One Iron Horse Farm, we believe respect for all things in our care is a priority, and this is reflected in our horses' temperaments and behavior. Our horses are fed individually with select whole food or herbal supplements and feed, and we are happy to help our buyers transition this care to their own program for optimum results.
